Bears DB -Coach Al Harris a large part of the Ascension of Nahshon Wright

Chicago Bears Cornerback Nahshon Wright has turned many heads in the early stages of the training camp and he is ready to play an important role in his first seasons with the team.

After a disappointing 2024 season in which he was abandoned by the Minnesota Vikingen and was later again signed at the practice team, Wright signed with Chicago this season and was reunited with his former defending Backs coach Al Harris Van when the two time together with the Dallas Cowboys spent.

Harris, who was hired as part of the big coaching staff that shook off the season this season, comes to De Beren with a respected CV during his time in Dallas, and now has a lot of talent to work with in the secondary of the Bears. In the short time of their reunion, Harris and Wright have clearly made a connection, in which Wright is one of the best breakout stars of the training camp, and wants to play the former Pick van Dallas van Dallas for Harris as long as he can in his career.

“I would like to play for all as long as I can,” Wright said. “He is a hell of a coach. He has produced a lot of benefits and pro bowlers. That is a man you want to lean on. I understand his language. I understand his coaching. I was with him for almost four years. I understand everything he is trying to bring for this team. He has played me. Know how to coach.”

A 14-year-old veteran during his match days, Harris made his biggest stamp at the Green Bay Packers and has now established himself as one of the best secondary coaches in the competition. For Harris, working with Wright has strengthened the bond between the two.

“He is one of the boys I had the chance to quote unquote increase from the start,” said Harris. “He is very coachable, his football -IQ is high, and his size is what you want as a corner. His strengths are absolutely his size, the knowledge of the game and taking coaching points of whether it is exercises or classroom to the field.”

Wright is currently anchored in a schedule struggle with Tyrique Stevenson for the outer cornerback -opposite Pro -Bowler Jaylon Johnson. If Wright continues his impressive summer, it would not be a surprise to see him in a starting role in week 1.
