Auburn Junior Rayshawn Pleasant received a second team All-American Kick Returner this week by Sporting News. The transfer of Tulane was a phenomenal special Tulane Tulane in his first two seasons of the University Football before he went to the plains this season.
Probably Pleasant should see a reserve in the Auburn Defensive Backfield, this majority of his playing time this season as a return specialist. The resident of West Monroe, Louisiana excelled in the role while playing for his home state Green Wave, on average almost 39 meters per return over 13 kick off. He scored twice.
Although the junior did not return a point, we were able to take over the role as a tiger, especially given that he will probably not play as much defensive snaps as a year ago. With the uncertainty about broad receiver Malcolm Simmons, and head coach Hugh Freeze’s possible tendency to save him for an attack as soon as he comes back to the field, it would be very logical for pleasant to take back the recurring point.
The 6-foot, 200 pound defending back gives the team of Hugh Freeze depth added to a special team unit that usually struggled since Freeze took the track a few years ago. He was the only Auburn tiger a completely American through sporty news.
